In 2015 I was honoured to be asked to design a Shaun the Sheep statue for the The Shaun in the City trail in Bristol for the charity The Grand Appeal.
My statue, entitled Star Bake, was situated at Boston Tea Party Cafe on Gloucester Rd, Bishopston from June until August 2015. It was then eventually auctioned along with all 120 other statues, Star Bake was sold for £16,000!
I thought I’d share a few of the shots of me working on my Shaun during January 2015, it took about 4 weeks! It was a lot of fun working on something that size and applying my working process to something so different. As you may have noticed my design is inspired by many of the bakes I had illustrated over the past 6 years of creating graphics for the The Great British Bake Off.
You can also own your very own 'Star Bake' figurine with all the proceeds going to charity. Visit the online shop here.
